Special Presenter Initiatives

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Delaware Division of the Arts, the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts, offer small and midsized presenting organizations an opportunity to apply for grants to broaden their programming and expand audiences.

The Special Presenter Initiatives support the presentation of touring performing artists at venues within Delaware, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Organizations that meet each state’s eligibility criteria are invited to apply for funding to help defray costs related to touring engagements in these three jurisdictions. Proposed artists must be from within the mid-Atlantic region (Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, West Virginia), but outside of the respective jurisdiction in which the applying organization resides, or from outside of the United States. Grant awards differ for each jurisdiction but range from $500 - $5,000.  Other eligibility and restrictions apply and are different for each program.

The Special Presenter Initiatives program is funded by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program.
