Jazz Touring Network Gears Up for 2007-2008 Season |
 |
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation recently announced
its
membership for the seventh round of the Jazz Touring
Network ("JTN"). This year one organization, the
Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick MD, has
been chosen to join eight current JTN members and
13 alumni JTN members.
The JTN is a multi-year program designed to expand
the presentation of jazz throughout the mid-Atlantic
region. Each participating presenter receives support
in three main areas: knowledge-building and
information exchange; network infrastructure
development; and funding for regional jazz
tours.
JTN members will convene this November 6-7 at
Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in Camden, NJ to
discuss upcoming projects including tours of Chris
Botti, Bill Frisell, Russell Malone, and Omar Sosa. For
a complete list of tour dates and venues, click here.
