Baltimore, MD – July 10, 2023 – Mid Atlantic Art’s 2023-2024 ArtsCONNECT program has announced 45 grants supporting public engagements and community activities. The grants provide over $337,000 in support of tours by 14 performing artists representing a diverse range of music, dance, and performance ensembles and artists.

ArtsCONNECT supports touring projects collaboratively developed by presenters working together in the mid-Atlantic region. The tours include performances as well as complementary engagement activities designed to create greater understanding or connections between artists, audiences, and communities. Presenters must be based in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, West Virginia, and the Native nations that share this geography. Active participation for presenters of all sizes is encouraged.

The 2023-2024 tours will visit the following organizations and communities:

Mid Atlantic Arts convened two virtual panels, made up of three experts each in the fields of performing arts and community engagement to review the applications and make recommendations. Panelist information can be found here.
