On Screen/In Person Back on the Road in February
|
|
Connect with filmmaker Erik Ljung this February as he tours with his intimate vérité
documentary,
The Blood is at the Doorstep.
On April 30, 2014, Dontre Hamilton, a black, unarmed man diagnosed with schizophrenia, was shot 14 times and killed by a Milwaukee police officer responding to a non-emergency wellness check. Filmed over the course of three years in the direct aftermath of Dontre’s death,
The Blood is at the Doorstep
follows his family as they struggle to find answers and challenge a criminal justice system stacked against them.
MAAF's On Screen/In Person brings independent film and communities together by match-making American filmmakers with presenters from across the mid-Atlantic region.Find an On Screen/In Person
