Performing Arts Global Exchange Roster Announced | |
The Performing Arts Global Exchange (PAGE) artist roster has been announced! PAGE is a grant program for performing arts presenters nationwide that is designed to reduce barriers to presenting international artists. Each year, a country or region is featured with a selection of artists across multiple disciplines. The program provides fee support directly to nonprofit presenters programming artists from the roster, and presenters host both public performances and community engagements in achieving the program’s goals of cultural exchange and understanding. The 2025-26 program features performing artists from Morocco and South Africa.
The 2025-2026 roster artists are:
- Nomfusi - Soul and Afropop (South Africa)
- Tarwa N-Tiniri - Blues and Fusion (Morocco)
- The Leila - North African Rock (Morocco)
- Empatheatre - Theatre (South Africa)
- +1 Additional Ensemble To Be Announced in January

Cultural Sustainability: Community Roots

The Cultural Sustainability: Community Roots application deadline is coming up soon! This new grant program offered by the six U.S. Regional Arts Organizations (USRAOs) in partnership with The Wallace Foundation provides unrestricted operational funding for arts and culture organizations founded by, with, and for communities of color.
The program provides general operating support to arts and culture organizations serving Black, Indigenous, and communities of color with budgets under $500,000 and at least three years of programming. The Cultural Sustainability: Community Roots program provides a space for connection, knowledge sharing and network building with other changemakers in the region. Grantees will join a powerful cohort of organizations dedicated to preserving and celebrating the cultural legacies of their communities.

ArtsCONNECT supports performing arts touring projects collaboratively developed by presenters working together in the mid-Atlantic region. Three or more located in the mid-Atlantic region who partner to present the same artist/company during the project period can each receive up to 50% subsidy for that artist/company’s compensation, plus support for other eligible project expenses. Deadline: Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Central Appalachia Living Traditions (CALT) Experiences grants fund public-facing projects and events in Appalachian counties of Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia that bring community members together around traditional arts and cultural knowledge. Deadline: Monday, March 10, 2025.

Folk & Traditional Arts Community Projects Grants fund projects that support the vitality of traditional arts and cultures in the mid-Atlantic region. Non-profit organizations in DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, USVI, PR, or WV may apply for $1,000 to $7,000 grants. A 1:1 match is required.

Special Presenter Initiatives provide additional opportunities for the support of small to mid-sized performing arts presenters in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia, and Native nations that share this geography.

Mid Atlantic Tours supports presenters located in the mid-Atlantic region who engage a Mid Atlantic Tours Roster Artist during the project period. Presenters receive up to 50% subsidy for the Roster Artist’s compensation as well as presenter capacity support. Deadline: Thursday, March 27, 2025.

The Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program invites applications from visual artists for a year-long residency in DUMBO, Brooklyn. This program awards rent-free, non-living studio space to 17 visual artists. The program is open to professional visual artists, ages 21 or older, who live in the United States, as well as U.S. citizens or permanent residents living abroad.

The Les Paul Foundation is inviting applications for grants to support programs and projects that encourage innovation in music production and/or performance and innovative STEM or STEAM programs for students and others in challenging situations. The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) invites applications for fully funded fellowships and a residency. VCCA hosts over 400 fellows each year at two locations: Mt. San Angelo in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Amherst, Virginia, and the Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France. All eligible applicants who demonstrate need will be considered for financial aid to help cover the cost of their residency.

The Indian Arts Research Center (IRAC), a division of the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe, New Mexico, invites applications for its artist-in-residence program, which annually awards three fellowships, including a monthly stipend, housing, studio space, a supplies allowance, full access to the IARC collections, and travel reimbursement to and from SAR. Fellowships support Native American artists in sculpture, performance, basketry, painting, printmaking, digital art, mixed media, photography, pottery, writing, and film and video. Eligible applicants include people indigenous to North America and its current outlying territories, including Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Deadline: Wednesday, January 15, 2025. The Portland Art Museum (PAM) invites applications for its 2025 Sustainability Labs. This program focuses on US-based creators, artists, directors, and producers looking to change their personal models of creative, financial, and business sustainability. This three-month program is designed to support talented media storytellers. Artists receive support, resources, and connections to professional opportunities to diversify and thrive creatively, financially, and personally. Each artist receives a $3,000 stipend and assigned a mentor in line with their creative visions.

This program is an international online showcase and marketing opportunity for US-based artists who are ready to tour internationally.
